This course aims to equip instructors/teachers in training with the
knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to effectively analyze academic, personal and interpersonal problems, often encountered by students and
may have a negative impact on their learning and academic performance. This
exposure involves competencies in the therapeutic process and therapeutic
frameworks, an introduction to rudimentary counselling skills and practice, and
an overview of issues related to the practice of psychotherapy, careers within
counselling and ethical considerations.
