COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is designed to enable students to understand and appreciate the diversity of fungi and their ecological, economic, and historical impact on the environment and society. Students will be provided with the opportunity to learn about fungi diversity and the role of fungi in disease, ecology, history, industry, medicine, politics, and society. The course will be conducted through practical investigations of the environment. A variety of student centered teaching methods will be used in the execution of this course to ensure a deeper understanding of the concepts.
