This course is designed to introduce student-teachers to the philosophy of business education, various approaches and strategies in teaching Business subjects. The course seeks to expose prospective Business teachers to relevant learning theories and domains of learning that are used to inform instruction and to the role of integration in the teaching and learning process. The student-teachers will be introduced to the National Standard Curriculum and specifically to the Resource and Technology (Business Basic) guide. They will be given the opportunity to apply differentiation strategies recommended for the delivery of lessons incorporating the traditional and 5E models as they seek to develop critical skills in their own students. They will demonstrate creativity and innovativeness as they utilize STEM/STEAM as a methodology for the exploration of resource materials.
